  • What is CBD?
Cannabidiol (CBD) is a non-intoxicating component of the cannabis plant with enormous therapeutic potential. These molecules can be found in all plants in the cannabis family including hemp.
  • What are the effects of CBD?
Unlike THC, the effects of CBD do not get users high, an important distinction that has helped drive the popularity of this healing compound. Traditional (prescription medications) tend to focus on symptoms and mask the root of the problem. CBD promotes the body’s natural response to the actual cause of those symptoms and creates a more balanced state for all of our body’s systems.
  • How do I dose CBD?
We always recommend taking it low and slow. CBD is an herbal supplement and everyone is different. Some people need more while others need less to see/feel results. If the bottle says take 1-2 dropperfuls 1-3x a day, start with 1/2 dropperful 1-2x a day and observe how you feel. You can always go up in dosage if you feel you need more. You can usually feel relief after 60-90 minutes. Ingesting CBD will give you 8-24 hours of relief depending on your age and activity level. You cannot overdose and you won’t get addicted (CBD is non-psychoactive). The worst that can happen if you take too much is that you get sleepy.
  • Do your products contain THC?
The 2014 Farm Bill defines hemp as cannabis with no more than 0.3% THC in any part of the plant; if the THC level tops 0.3%, it’s considered to be marijuana under federal law. The brands/products that we carry contain 0.3% THC and under.
  • What happens if I am drug tested?
Ultimately, the consumption of CBD products (with only trace amounts of THC), will not show up on standard drug screens as CBD is not an indication of impairment. Though we always recommend full disclosure to medical professionals regarding cannabis and/or other medications, CBD consumption is not commonly grounds for workplace discipline. Check your workplace drug policy for more information.
